Readers Club

Readers' Club is an extracurricular Russian language and literature class, designed for children who are fluent and proficient readers in Russian language.  The classes are conducted twice a month.  The length of the class is 2 hours for kids 10-12 years old and 3.5 hours for kids 13+.
Book selections for individual/family reading is based on the reading level and the age of the students in the group. In class, students will participate in discussions of the assigned reading materials, participate in reading passages aloud, solve quizzes and riddles, act out roles and charades, tackle fun Russian language and literature exercises, be introduced to both classical and contemporary authors and illustrators, and will attempt to write prose and poetry.

Class Schedule:
  • Age: 10+12: Monday 6:00 - 7:00 pm (2 times per month)
  • Age: 13+: Monday 7:00 - 8:30 pm (2 times per month)
  • $30/month
  • $20/month for children enrolled in the Russian language and literature programs at "Rossinca"
The group 13+ participates in the following competitions: “Kniguru in America”, “Live Classic”, “Zoshenko out laud”
  • Level  5-6 ($40/class): Monday 4:30 pm - 6:15 pm
  • Level 7+ ($50/class): Wednesday 5:00 pm - 7:15 pm
