Readers Club
Readers' Club is an extracurricular Russian language and literature class, designed for children who are fluent and proficient readers in Russian. The classes are conducted weekly or twice a month. The length of the class is 60 minutes hours for kids 9-11 years old and 90 minutes for kids 12+.
Book selections for individual/family reading are based on the reading level and the age of the students in the group. In class, students will participate in discussions of the assigned reading materials, participate in reading passages aloud, solve quizzes and riddles, act out roles and charades, tackle fun language and literature exercises, and be introduced to both classical and contemporary authors and illustrators. We also try to write prose and poetry.
The group participates in the following competitions: “Kniguru in America”, “Live Classic”, “Zoshenko out laud”
